I really could have used this website this morning, but I'm glad I found it this evening. *popping virtual bubble wrap* Today was a real doozy that taught me not to take a single day off of work! *pop* At 3:30, I was still trying to return to the first task I started in the morning. *pop* I feel like the phone was superglued to my ear. I can still feel it. My desk actually had three inches of files and papers on it, which I ended up simply sweeping into a drawer at the end of the day in hopes that at least some of it would magically disappear overnight. (I'll let you know how that works for me; if it does, I just might post some step-by-step instructions for y'all 'cause I'm sharing like that.) *pop pop* What gets me the most is that I'm quite certain that a lot of my pressure today had to do with the fact that it's the end of the month at the end of third quarter and everyone is scared spitless about the economy. *pop* Fully one-half of my calls today were from salesmen (my goal is never to talk to another again--I'll let you know how that goes too); the other half were from people asking to make smaller payments or delay them altogether. *pop pop pop* By the end of the day, when the phone would ring, I'd call out, "If that's for me, tell them I'm dead" or "If you transfer me another call, I quit." And I must have been convincing because I heard one girl tell someone that I wasn't at my desk and transfer the caller to my voicemail. :) *pop*
Dang. My bubble wrap sheet is all popped. *Starting another* Tomorrow had better be better than today or bubble wrap won't be the only thing I'll pop!
The original link is now broken, so I found a new one: http://dagobah.biz/flash/bubblewrap.swf
